"Dans le Noir"
"In the dark"
In this collection, I explore the profound relationship between shadow and form. Dans le Noir (In the Dark) is a study of presence; it is an intentional departure from traditional portraiture, where the subject is not merely lit, but surgically carved from the darkness.
Using precise projection snoots and cinematic "blind" gobos, I utilize blades of light to trace the topography of the human form. Whether it is the rhythmic shimmer of gold satin or the quiet silhouette of a corset against the void, these images are designed to reveal only what is essential.
The Vision
This session was built on the technical foundation of "shooting for black," ensuring that every frame is a vacuum where nothing exists except the subject. The play of light across the textures—the sheen of the gown, the delicate curve of a shoulder, the intensity of a glance through the keyhole—creates a narrative of unobserved elegance.
The Philosophy
As always, the goal remains unchanged: I don't photograph who you think you should be; I photograph the magnificent person you already are. In the darkness of the "Dans le Noir" series, the lens does more than record a likeness; it confirms your worth by making you the sole focus of a vast, quiet universe.

The Architecture of Shadow and Form is a study of the human body as sculptural form. Rooted in technical minimalism, this fine art series moves beyond traditional representations of the body to explore the interplay of deep shadow and carefully directed light.
Working within a high-contrast, low-key aesthetic, each subject emerges from darkness as light reveals line, plane, curve, and contour. Every photograph becomes an exercise in restraint, where what remains unseen is just as important as what is illuminated.
Rather than disguising the body or transforming it into something else, this collection invites the viewer to look at it differently. Light becomes the architect, revealing the inherent geometry, balance, and quiet elegance of the human form.
Stripped of identity and unnecessary distraction, these images celebrate the timeless relationship between light, shadow, and structure, encouraging the viewer to appreciate the body not as an object of display, but as an enduring work of natural design.
